Why portraits of people?

Events, real estate, landscapes... I've done them all, but they will never provide the impact and awe of the visage of a person. In that image I gaze into a life lived. 

My fascination with still imaging is that it is proof you lived in that very moment, a self time capsule that can be shared and kept so that we can come back to soak into it.

To me, the perfect portrait is a floodgate of emotion waiting to be released when viewed.

About me; Like many, I began photography as a hobby and couldn't escape the rabbit hole. With my prior Navy and Corporate careers I am well traveled and feel this helps me connect with people of all cultures and passions. I hope to continue my portrait career and create some amazing images and memories.
